Location & getting there

A&O Wien Stadthalle sits in the sixth district between the Stadthalle and Westbahnhof - handy if you arrive by train from western Austria or Germany. The U6 is within walking distance and connects you to the subway network; Mariahilfer Straße with its shops and restaurants is not far either. The historic centre is only a few stops away by public transport. The area is everyday urban Vienna with plenty of through traffic, not a postcard setting. From the airport, take the CAT or S7 to Wien Mitte and continue by subway, or use the S-Bahn with one change.

With beds from around 39 euros, the A&O is among the cheapest places to sleep in the city - in exchange you get hostel atmosphere rather than hotel feel.
