The U6 station Burggasse-Stadthalle is within walking distance, putting Westbahnhof and the subway network close at hand; Mariahilfer Straße, Vienna's longest shopping street, is not far either. The centre is only a few stops away by public transport. The neighbourhood itself is a lived-in residential area with local restaurants and everyday life - less polished than the first district, but more relaxed. From the airport, take the CAT or S7 to Wien Mitte and change to the subway.

From around 88 euros a night it sits in the lower midfield of the Vienna market, which is fair given the concept. If you want to stay right by St. Stephen's or the Ringstraße, look in the first district instead - here you deliberately stay in a local neighbourhood.
