Location & getting there

The Senator Hotel sits on the western edge of Mariahilf, towards Rudolfsheim - not in the middle of the tourist action, but in an ordinary Viennese residential area. Trams 5 and 6 take you into the centre in around 13 minutes; that works reliably, but it isn't metro speed. In return, Mariahilfer Straße with its shops and the Westbahnhof are in the same district. From the airport, take the CAT or S7 to Wien Mitte and continue by metro and tram - allow a little more time than you would for more central hotels.
