About this sight

The Belvedere in the 3rd district is a Baroque palace ensemble commissioned by Prince Eugene of Savoy and designed by Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt. The Lower Belvedere was built 1712 to 1716, the Upper Belvedere 1717 to 1723.
