Location & getting there
The City Rooms are on Nordbahnstraße in Leopoldstadt, the second district, about five minutes on foot from Praterstern. In transport terms this is a strong base: the U1, U2 and several S-Bahn lines meet at Praterstern - the U1 puts you at Stephansplatz in two stops. The Prater with the giant Ferris wheel and the Hauptallee lies just beyond the station, and the Augarten is also walkable. From the airport, the S7 even takes you to Praterstern without changing - one of the simplest arrivals in the city.

The price is not explained by the location but by consistent restraint: no staff, no breakfast, no service. What you get is a clean studio with a kitchenette and a transit connection that other houses charge noticeably more for. If you want someone on site to talk to, this is the wrong address.
