Location & getting there

The City Rooms are in Wieden, the fourth district, just a few steps from Karlsplatz. In terms of transport this is hard to beat: the U1, U2 and U4 all meet at Karlsplatz, along with several tram lines - within minutes you can be almost anywhere in the city. The Karlskirche, the Naschmarkt and the Freihaus quarter with its restaurants are all walkable, and the State Opera and the edge of the old town lie just beyond Karlsplatz. From the airport, take the CAT or S7 to Wien Mitte and continue on the U4 to Karlsplatz - a fast, straightforward arrival.

Who is it for?

From around 79 euros a night, the studios are among the cheapest options in such a central spot - clearly budget territory by Vienna standards, with a prime-location bonus. They suit solo travelers, students and discerning backpackers who need a clean bed, a kitchenette and Wi-Fi, and nothing else. A good choice for short trips with a packed sightseeing schedule too. Families, and anyone expecting breakfast, hotel service or room for more than two people, are better off with a classic hotel or larger apartments.
