The Hotel de France stands right on the Ringstraße in the first district, opposite the University of Vienna and the Votivkirche. The U2 station Schottentor is immediately outside, and several tram lines stop along the Ring - the Rathaus, Burgtheater and museum quarter are all a short ride away without changing. On foot, the walk to Graben and Stephansdom takes you past some of the finest Ringstraße architecture in the city. From the airport, take the CAT or S7 to Wien Mitte and continue by subway. There is also an underground garage for a fee.
