Location & getting there

Hotel Schani is just a two-minute walk from the main station, on the southern edge of the Wieden district. For arrivals this is hard to top: from the airport you reach the main station directly by train, and if you come by rail from Germany, Italy or the Austrian provinces, you roll practically up to the door. From the station, subway and trams take you into the historic centre quickly, and the Belvedere is not far either. The immediate surroundings are a modern station quarter, not an old-town backdrop - but from here you get everywhere fast.

Younger business travellers and digitally minded city visitors feel at home right away, and with various family rooms it works with kids too. If you expect old-town romance outside the door or classic doorman service, you will be better off in the historic centre.
